    God The Creator

    Preacher: Jonathan Smith
Music: Josh Hennessey & Joanna Justus

Today Pastor Jonathan is starting a new series on The Apostle's Creed. Though the creed is not scripture, it clearly states beliefs that all Christians hold - the beliefs that are consistent across all churches and denominations.
The statements contained in the creed are all substantiated by scripture. This message looks at the first line of The Creed:
"I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth"
Jonathan explores what it means to believe, what it means for God to be "Father" and how we can worship God by seeing the beauty of His creation.

    Jesus The Son

    Preacher: Jonathan Smith
Music: Josh Hennessey & Bek Hudson

Today Pastor Jonathan is starting a new series on The Apostle's Creed. Though the creed is not scripture, it clearly states beliefs that all Christians hold - the beliefs that are consistent across all churches and denominations.
The statements contained in the creed are all substantiated by scripture. This message looks at the first line of The Creed:
"I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary."
Jonathan explores the three statements made in this line of the Creed - that Jesus is the Son of God, his conception and birth - detailing that without the Holy Spirit, Jesus is just another man and without the virgin birth he is not fully human.

  • Jesus : Dead And Buried
    13/5/24

    Jesus : Dead And Buried

    Preacher: John Hudson
Music: Leslie Edis & Joanna Justus

Today John is taking us through the third topic in our series on The Apostle's Creed - Jesus: Dead And Buried. Though the creed is not scripture, it clearly states beliefs that all Christians hold - the beliefs that are consistent across all churches and denominations.
The statements contained in the creed are all substantiated by scripture. This message looks at the third line of The Creed:
"He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried."
John shows us that Christianity could be easily falsified by simply proving that Jesus did not die. However, history has proven that he did in fact die and was buried. He didn't "sort of die", he 100% died and was buried.

  • Jesus: Risen And Ascended
    20/5/24

    Jesus: Risen And Ascended

    Preacher: Jonathan Smith
Music: Bek & John Hidson, Josh Hennessey

Today Pastor Jonathan is taking us through the fourth topic in our series on The Apostle's Creed - Jesus: Risen And Ascended. Though the creed is not scripture, it clearly states beliefs that all Christians hold - the beliefs that are consistent across all churches and denominations.
The statements contained in the creed are all substantiated by scripture. This message looks at the fourth line of The Creed:
“On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven”

If there is no resurrection, then Christianity has no hope, and we ought to be pitied because of our belief and "weird" behaviour. Similarly, if Jesus did not ascend to heaven, then he is not ruling, and we are submitting to a lie. However, if Jesus did rise again and is seated in heaven then our entire lives and actions must be modelled around that belief.

Music: Josh Hennessey & Joanna Justus

The statements contained in the creed are all substantiated by scripture. This message looks at the line of The Creed that reads:
“From there he will come to judge the living and the dead”

This can be quite scary and daunting, knowing that Jesus is coming back to judge all people, but Jonathan presents that this is actually very good news for believers.

Music: Josh Hennessey, Bek Hudson & Joanna Justus

Today Bishop Brad is taking us through the seventh topic in our series on The Apostle's Creed - The Church and The Saints. Though the creed is not scripture, it clearly states beliefs that all Christians hold - the beliefs that are consistent across all churches and denominations.

“... the Holy Universal Church, the communion of saints”

  • The New Creation
    24/6/24

    The New Creation

    Preacher: Jonathan Smith
Music: Leslie Edis & Bek Hudson

Today Pastor Jonathan is taking us through the last topic in our series on The Apostle's Creed - The New Creation. Though the creed is not scripture, it clearly states beliefs that all Christians hold - the beliefs that are consistent across all churches and denominations.
The statements contained in the creed are all substantiated by scripture. This message looks at the final lines of The Creed:
“... the resurrection of the body and the live everlasting.”

Jonathan challenges us to truly believe in the resurrection of our physical bodies, which is contrary to the dominant Greek philosphies of the time; to try and help us understand what has happened to people who have died in this life but have not yet been resurrected; and finally, to look at what life everlasting is all about.
